Dominican Republic
mission trips

Starting in March 2026, we’ll be sending teams of healthcare professionals and dedicated volunteers to the Dominican Republic annually to support long-term improvements in maternal and infant health.

First mission trip
to the Dominican Republic

March 14–21, 2026

We’re currently assembling our first team of healthcare professionals and volunteers to serve in the Dominican Republic in partnership with Solid Rock International, who will be graciously hosting our stay.

Our mission focuses on maternal-child health education for women, nurses, and medical residents.

By working together with the local community, we hope to accomplish the following:

  • Reducing the national C-section rate of 64%

  • Decreasing infections, postpartum hemorrhage, and preeclampsia

  • Increasing breastfeeding rates

  • Reducing preventable neonatal illness such as diarrhea

  • Helping lower the current infant mortality rate of 28-29 deaths per 1,000 live births

Though these efforts may seem small, they carry the potential for significant long-term impact on maternal and infant health.

The Stephanie-Ekua Global Midwife Foundation is currently planning one to two mission trips per year.

Those interested in volunteering for an upcoming mission trip should fill out and submit the application below.
