Stephanie is a certified nurse midwife and philanthropist with over 20 years of experience in women’s care. Her journey began with certification as a nurse assistant, driven by a passion for service and care. Soon after, she enlisted in the U.S. Army, where she served with distinction for 12 years.
During her military career, Stephanie became a paratrooper, courageously jumping from planes, and rose through the ranks from enlisted soldier to commissioned officer. It was during this time that she also launched her nursing career, becoming a registered nurse while actively serving.
After completing her military service, Stephanie continued to excel in the healthcare field, combining clinical expertise with compassionate leadership. For the past 14 years, she has practiced midwifery with excellence and compassion.
Her work has allowed her to serve women and families from many different cultures, enriching both her knowledge and her approach to care. Each encounter has deepened her commitment to providing safe, respectful, and dignified maternal support.
In 2024, Stephanie volunteered as a midwife in Ghana, an experience that profoundly shaped her vision. Guided by her compassion for people, as well as her God-driven purpose, she founded the Stephanie-Ekua Global Midwife Foundation to help reduce maternal and infant mortality morbidity worldwide. Her lifelong commitment to empowering women and giving back to her community remains at the heart of everything she does.
She believes that when one seed is planted, many more will flourish.
